Sioux Falls, SD
Position open:
Associate Pastor of Ministries
The Associate Pastor of Connection Church will play a pivotal role in shepherding, equipping, and mobilizing the body of Christ. This position centers on leading and scaling our Gospel Communities (GCs), which are the heartbeat of our disciple-making strategy, while building systems that sustain church-wide discipleship, leadership development, and member engagement.
This pastor will oversee the full discipleship pathway—from the moment someone first visits Connection Church, to their integration into gospel community, through baptism and covenant membership, and ultimately toward multiplication as a disciple-maker. He will provide pastoral care and spiritual oversight, while also designing and implementing systems that allow for sustainable growth.
Working alongside a gifted and close-knit staff team, the Associate Pastor will serve as both shepherd and strategist: equally comfortable walking with a hurting member through crisis and building the structures that equip leaders to shepherd hundreds. This is a unique opportunity for a pastor who loves people and loves building frameworks that help the church flourish for years to come.
Connection Church is a gospel-centered, missional church located in the growing city of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The church is affiliated with the Acts 29 Church Planting Network, The Gospel Coalition, 9Marks, the SEND Network, and the Dakota Baptist Convention.
Connection Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who live in authentic gospel community and live on mission in everyday life. In particular, the church is seeking to deepen and expand its network of Gospel Communities as the primary expression of discipleship and mission.
The church has a strong theological foundation, a missional culture, and a committed core of leaders. This next season provides a unique opportunity to strengthen the church’s discipleship systems, train a new generation of leaders, and multiply Gospel Communities throughout the city.
