Position open:
Generations Discipleship Pastor
Doxa Church is hiring a Generations Discipleship Pastor who will oversee the integration of discipleship at Doxa across their childrens, students, young adults, and young professionals ministries. Their desire is to equip their families and young professionals to be disciples in the everyday stuff of life.
This visionary role would develop the systems and structures to support multi-generational discipleship in the community. Managing both the leaders and the strategy behind each ministry, the Generations Discipleship Pastor role requires collaboration with others to implement a comprehensive plan for applying discipleship strategies targeted at families and young professionals across Sundays, midweek, homelife, and the mission field.
Currently located in Bellevue, Washington, with plans to move into a new building in Redmond, Doxa is situated right in the heart of a burgeoning tech region. Seattle-based companies like Amazon and Microsoft have drawn many young families and young professionals to the region, and Doxa leadership desires to develop ministries and resources to equip those families and young adults to follow Jesus faithfully.
The Eastside functions as a sort of suburban sister city to the more urban Seattle, but is no less dynamic. Thousands of the country’s most educated and intelligent technology and medical professionals call this area home, which creates a strategic opportunity for the church.
“On the Eastside as it is in heaven” is the prayer of Doxa’s leadership. Since its founding in 2015, this community has been passionate about embodying the Kingdom of God where they live, work, learn, and play. The church has a weekly gathering of around 400 adults, plus another 100 students. Across their ministry environments, they desire to equip people who are hungry for theological application to real life.
